Entertaining my kids built a wooden animal toy kingdom.
What started as a simple project to keep my kids entertained during lockdown quickly turned into a full-blown passion, and before I knew it, I was knee-deep in wood dust, watercolours, and pure joy.
I believe in the power of play. Play that isn't dictated by rules or screens, but by creativity and curiosity. I want to offer children (and the young at heart) something tangible, something real, something that invites them to slow down, use their imagination, and connect with the world around them.

Hi, I'm Eryn!
My husband Andrew and I are the power couple dedicated to bringing beautiful heirloom animal toys into your life.
We live in the beautiful country town of Dayboro, QLD, with our two wonderful kids, a cat, a dog, and some chickens. We're parents dedicated to raising great humans, and we know that play is one of the most important parts of childhood. Our quest to create beautiful toys is rooted deeply in a love of imagination and fantasy, of nature and Mother Earth.
Why Wooden toys?
In our screen dominated society, passive play and limited creative exploration are becoming more and more common. My own kids often choose the iPad over playtime, so I know the struggle well.
Good quality toys can make a huge difference to kids play. Wooden toys encourage active play, inviting children to build, create, and explore in ways that are both educational and enriching. Animals are particularly excellent for small world play, and for hands on learning.
Wood is also very tactile and a wonderful sensory experience.
What does nom stand for?
NOM is fun and cute, but it has a special meaning for our family. It is the first initial of each our children; Noah, Oscar, Molly. Oscar and Molly are earthside with us, but Noah unfortunately passed away shortly after his birth in 2016. It is incredibly important that we carry his light with us, and this business is one way that we are fortunate to do so.
